OpenAI has finally announced the GPT Go subscription, which costs just $4 in the US or INR 399 in India.
Unfortunately, the cheapest paid version of GPT is limited to India for now.
If you live in India or have an account made in India, you’ll now begin seeing a nudge to try GPT Go when you’re using a free account.

When you select Try Go, you’ll be asked to pay at least $4. Right now, it is limited to India, but OpenAI says that it will come to more regions soon.
GPT Go includes pricing in EUR (€4), USD ($4), and GBP (£3.50) in addition to INR. This confirms the Go Plan will roll out everywhere.
OpenAI says that the $4 Go plan gives you access to some of the features which are not available in the free plan:
- Access to GPT-5
- Expanded messaging and uploads
- Expanded and faster image creation
- Longer memory and contex
- Limited deep research
- Projects, tasks, custom GPTs
If you upgrade to GPT Plus, which costs $20, you will get:
-
GPT-5 with advanced reasoning
-
Expanded messaging and uploads
-
Expanded and faster image creation
-
Expanded memory and context
-
Expanded deep research and agent mode
-
Projects, tasks, custom GPTs
-
Sora video generation
-
Codex agent
OpenAI added that ChatGPT Go includes higher usage limits than the Free plan for core chat and tools.
However, limits may vary based on system conditions.
